Skills & Attributes

  • Strong computer proficiency; experience with PC gaming, VR systems, or Linux environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Curious, self-directed learner who proactively investigates issues and consults available documentation before escalating to managers or engineers.
  • Clear attention to detail and ability to create new and update relevant documentation based on new skills learned throughout one’s tenure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes, observations, and learnings clearly.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a collaborative team setting.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured task instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Teleoperate our robots using a VR system.
  • Follow a task demonstration playbook to execute specific robot behaviors and scenarios.
  • Communicate clearly with engineers and managers about blockers, improvement opportunities, and task observations.
  • Monitor robot performance and behavior, identifying issues, inconsistencies, or unexpected outcomes.
  • Interrupt robot execution when necessary and provide corrective demonstrations to support machine learning workflows.
  • Participate in a continuous feedback loop, contributing to peer reviews and tooling/process improvements.
  • Support quality assurance (QA) tasks during downtime when not actively teleoperating robots.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving workflows and tooling, as this role will change alongside ongoing ML development
