UMG's Global Analytics & Insights team within the Global eCommerce & Marketing group is looking for a Senior BI Analyst to help unify data sources, package analyses, and communicate meaningful insights to internal, label, and artist management audiences.
How You'll create:
  • Serve an instrumental role in the lifecycle of a reporting product, from stakeholder kick-off through business enablement.
  • Foster relationships with other label, marketing, eCommerce, and operations teams to gather, scrutinize, and document business requirements.
  • Design advanced, compelling, actionable data visualizations for a variety of different stakeholder audiences, including C-Suite, with light customization for artist specific reporting.
  • Help drive enterprise-wide product engagement and adoption via regular data QA and troubleshooting.
  • Leverage your data-oriented mindset, instincts, and curiosity to identify the signals, trends and meaningful information from an array of datasets.
  • Actively innovate and enhance our suite of tools to maintain a best-in-class service offering.
  • Support ongoing reporting operations, including monitoring scheduled reports, performing dashboard updates, and troubleshooting data or visualization issues
  • Perform data validation and QA to ensure accuracy and consistency of KPIs across dashboards and reporting outputs
  • Contribute to documentation efforts, including maintaining data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and reporting guidelines

Bring Your Vibe:
  • Currently pursuing a master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Architecture and Management, or Data Analytics Engineering
  • High-level proficiency in SQL with proven ability to write complex queries to analyze data.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS languages.
  • Experience in customizing and managing BI tool frontend environments (Looker Enterprise is a big plus).
  • Highly accustomed to using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft actionable and compelling stories from large/disparate datasets and make complex concepts/analysis easy to understand.
  • Be a critical thinker who values the importance of always putting data into the appropriate context.
  • Must love music, be a team player, and have a hunger to learn
  • Preferred: Experience with paid media, CDP, and/or CRM data/tools
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Google BigQuery, React Framework
  • Preferred: A background with Agile development/scrum frameworks
