Pearl Abyss America, Inc. - the team behind Black Desert and Crimson Desert as well as the upcoming titles DokeV and Plan8 - is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented, and quality-obsessed Live Service Coordinator to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of players across all platforms (PC and Console) in North America.
The video game industry is transforming how players are entertained, communicate with each other, and interact on their digital devices. Our company is looking for a Live Service Coordinator with an entrepreneurial spirit and relentless tenacity to get things done. You'll be instrumental in conveying feedback, trends, and updates to both internal departments and our global player community to ensure a seamless and engaging gaming experience.
Our Live Specialist Coordinators genuinely love video games, the players, and their communities; their passion for games helps them improve the quality of the game's live service. In this role, you will actively coordinate between international teams, translating critical game data and community reports to ensure our live service meets the highest standards of quality.
This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to ensure all of Pearl Abyss' current and future titles will achieve North American goals.
LOCATION: Manhattan Beach, CA (On-site)
JOB TYPE: Full-time
PAY RANGE: $21 - $25 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate effective communication between teams and offices across multiple countries to enhance collaboration and improve project execution
  • Translate content updates, project plans, patch notes, community reports, and internal communication between English and Korean
  • Work closely with the Live Service Specialists, Community Managers, and Customer Support to summarize and translate feedback and suggestions for game improvement from the community
  • Prepare for and assist with regular game maintenance and game notice creation
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual English/Korean fluency is required
  • Bachelor's degree OR proven professional translating experience

*May require evening and weekend hours
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Avid Black Desert player
  • Passion for video games with an interest in MMORPGs
