IMMEDIATE OPENING FULL TIME POSITION

RF TRANSMITTER ENGINEER


Diversified Technologies, Inc. (DTI) is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high-power microwave, RF, and pulsed power systems. Our exceptional engineers and scientists collaborate to develop the worlds most powerful solid state and vacuum electronic transmitters for radar, RF heating and particle accelerator applications. They also develop and build antenna systems, and engage state-of-the-art research, for industry and government (e.g., the national laboratories).


We seek a talented RF Engineer to join the team at our headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, able to take a lead role as an active team player (i.e., think, calculate, design, build, test) in our state-of-the-art programs. Key areas of experience could include RF circuit design for power amplifiers, receivers, and antennas, and/or the use of RF and microwave computer aided design tools, and/or hands on work on electromechanical assemblies. The RF Engineer will work alongside worldclass engineers and scientists through the entire product lifecycle of our one-of-a-kind systems: from proposal writing, initial specification, design, production, testing and installation. Importantly, the RF Engineer will have a leadership role driving new R&D projects from their ideation and proposal through to completion.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering assignments of some complexity.
  • Work with some general, some direct supervision, with occasional opportunity for independent work.
  • Confidently apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electrical and electromechanical components or systems.
  • Prepare design plans and part specifications under supervision.
  • Conduct analyses or tests of routine complexity in relation to new designs, methods, materials, or processes.
  • Provide recommendations as appropriate; offer feedback to managers and coworkers.
  • Occasionally review drawings, etc. prepared by technical support personnel.
  • Assist other engineers, technicians, interns.
  • Work on:
    • RF hardware / components: waveguide, resonant cavities, gigawatt shortpulse and other antennas, etc.
    • RF systems: megawatt continuous and other highpower RF transmitters (from VLF to Wband) for radar, nuclear fusion for energy and other advanced programs.
  • Assist in RF and analog circuit design, PCB layout.
  • Test and troubleshoot existing and prototype RF systems.
  • Perform other tasks as instructed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Three years experience in RF systems (in industry or academia).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of RF hardware and test equipment.
  • U.S. Citizen.

Compensation:

  • Salary range $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
