Job Description

The Digital department is part of Ameren Services and provides support to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Thousands of co-workers serve the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, digital/information technology, legal counsel, safety and supply services skillsets.

Within our Digital department, we host dozens of interns and co-ops annually. Our collegiate co-workers will participate in meaningful work activities related to analysis, assessment, design, collaboration and more! Coaching and feedback are a key part of your co-op experience. You will have the opportunity to work with talented, experienced digital staff while completing your work assignments.

Available Opportunities:

  • January - August 2027 Spring Co-op

  • May - December 2027 Fall Co-op

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent business or computer-related field

  • Minimum of a 2.5 GPA

In addition to the above qualifications, a successful candidate will:

  • Have a process-improvement and problem-solving mindset

  • Be able to work collaboratively, take initiative, work independently and meet deadlines

  • Gather requirements from leaders, stakeholders and other parties to deliver on initiatives

Co-ops will gain exposure to the following technologies:

  • Programming & scripting languages (e.g. .NET, SQL, COBOL, Java, C#, typescript, Java script, HTML, CSS, MVC, Angular, PowerShell and more)

  • REST API design and coding

  • Relational Database Management: Oracle, SQL Server

  • AWS Cloud Products

  • Tools: Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Splunk, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Process: Agile, Scrum, Kanban

Location:

This position is based out of the Ameren Headquarters in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The work arrangement is hybrid.

We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the salary offered.
