Summary of Job Duties:
The Assistant Professor (Neuropsychologist) is responsible for neuropsychological assessment, which includes diagnostic interviews, conducting neuropsychological testing, report writing and interpretation, and delivery of feedback. The majority of the Neuropsychologist's time will be spent in the UAMS Walker Family Clinic, a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic located within the Psychiatric Research Institute at UAMS.
Qualifications:
At the time of the application, candidates must have:
  • Completed a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Completed an APA-accredited neuropsychology-track clinical psychology internship.
  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology.
  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas as defined by the Arkansas State Board of Examiners.
  • Candidates must also be eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology as defined by ABCN.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide cognitive rehabilitation services as available and appropriate to the patient's needs.
  • Deliver supervision, mentorship, and training to interns within the APA-accredited clinical psychology doctoral internship program.
  • Facilitate didactic and educational experiences for psychology interns to support clinical skill development and professional growth.
