Job description

Highly Skilled Heavy Equipment Operator – Excavator or Bulldozer
Location: Pleasant Plain, Ohio
Pay: $30–$38 per hour
Hours: Full-time; must be available to work 60+ hours during peak season
Position Summary
We are hiring highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operators with at least four years of experience operating medium and large excavators, bulldozers, or compactors. Candidates must be comfortable working on earthmoving, grading, excavation, and utility projects.
Excavator Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate medium and large excavators, including CAT 316, 320, 336, and 374 models
  • Perform clearing, truck loading, backfilling, and utility trenching
  • Support earthmoving and underground utility crews
  • Use GPS grading technology, including Trimble and Topcon systems
  • Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
Bulldozer Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate medium and large bulldozers and compactors, including CAT D5–D8 and CAT 815–825 models
  • Perform clearing, mass excavation, cut-and-fill work, backfilling, and grading
  • Complete rough- and fine-grade work
  • Use GPS grading technology, including Trimble and Topcon systems
  • Maintain grade, slope, and production requirements
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
Qualifications
  • At least four years of experience operating medium or large excavators, bulldozers, or compactors
  • Experience with Trimble or Topcon GPS technology
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL is a plus
  • Ability to work extended hours, including 60+ hours during peak season
  • Willingness to assist with different tasks based on project needs
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, reliability, and quality
  • Must pass a drug screening and practical equipment skills test
