Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Estimator / Salesperson with a strong background in the construction industry. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, meeting with clients, preparing accurate project estimates, and managing the sales process from initial contact through contract signing. The ideal candidate combines technical construction knowledge with excellent sales and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective clients to discuss project needs and provide solutions.
- Conduct site visits and gather project information for accurate estimating.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages.
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Follow up on leads and maintain a consistent sales pipeline.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and project scope with clients.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing.
- Track and manage bids, proposals, and sales activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, builders, architects, and vendors.
- Attend networking events and represent the company professionally in the marketplace.
- Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction industry experience (estimating, project management, sales, or related field).
- Proven sales experience with a track record of closing deals.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Knowledge of CRM software and project management tools.
- Established network within the local construction industry.
