Job description

SUMMARY

The Product Development Coordinator supports the product creation process by maintaining development records, tracking sample and material submits, coordinating product data, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the product lifecycle. This role serves as a key operational partner to Product Development, helping maintain visibility, organization, and continuity across multiple products, vendors, and development initiatives.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Track and report the status of product development activities, including samples, materials, submits, approvals, and key milestones.

● Monitor development timelines, identify approaching deadlines, and follow up on outstanding action items, approvals, and vendor submissions.

● Record, organize, and maintain development history, including sample submits, fit comments, lab dip reviews, approvals, and related documentation.

● Manage product development data, including BOMs, material information, color information, specifications, and related product records.

● Prepare development reports, trackers, logs, and status updates to provide visibility across active projects.

● Prepare sample for reviews, fittings, and development meetings by measuring garments, documenting outcomes, and tracking follow-up actions.

● Coordinate information flow between Product Development, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.

● Contribute to the organization, improvement, and ongoing administration of Product Development systems, workflows, documentation, and departmental standards.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

● Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional business environment involving coordination, operations, administration, product development, merchandising, sourcing, manufacturing, customer service, or related functions.

● Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

● Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

● Demonstrated ability to maintain highly accurate records, documentation, and data.

● Ability to work comfortably with large amounts of information, documentation, and tracking data.

● Strong follow-through with a proactive approach to identifying issues, meeting deadlines, and driving action items to completion.

● Ability to learn new systems, software, and processes quickly.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications

● Education in Fashion & Textiles, Product Development, Manufacturing & Sourcing, Business, or a related field.

● Experience maintaining product data, documentation, trackers, databases, or other business-critical records.

● Understanding of apparel materials, garment construction, sewing techniques, and manufacturing processes.

● Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, PLM, ERP, or other product data management systems.

● Experience using AI-assisted productivity tools to improve organization, documentation, workflow efficiency, or data analysis.
