Job description

Salary:

BRDGIT is the AI consulting and implementation brand of The SilverLogic, a Boca Raton based custom software development and technology solutions company with more than thirteen years of experience building digital products, automation solutions, and custom software for clients at an international scale.

BRDGIT helps small and mid-sized organizations move beyond AI hype and apply artificial intelligence in practical, measurable, and business-focused ways. Through our AI-Proven Process and Consulting Framework, we guide clients from assessment and strategy to implementation based on their goals, budget, and readiness.

Backed by The SilverLogics engineering, automation, and software development expertise, BRDGIT combines AI strategy, education, workflow automation, custom tools, and implementation support. We are now building a team to help more organizations adopt AI with confidence, clarity, and real business value.

Position Summary

The AI Engineer Intern helps turn AI strategies into functioning systems. Working closely with AI Consultants, Engineers, Technical Leads, and PhD-level AI experts, this role supports the hands-on delivery of AI workflows, automations, integrations, and supporting infrastructure for real client projects.

This is a delivery-focused role. Day to day, you will spend most of your time building and maintaining low-code automations, integrating AI APIs into client solutions, supporting data pipelines, documenting your work, and helping keep systems reliable. This role is not mainly about training models from scratch. It is about applying AI in real business environments and helping turn ideas into working systems.

You will get direct exposure to applied AI engineering at The SilverLogic, a six-time Inc. 5000 ranked company, and its AI consulting brand BRDGIT. Because our work is client-facing, this internship is as much about communication as it is about code. You will be expected to explain your work clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and in some cases directly to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development & Implementation

  • Build, test, and maintain automation workflows across tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or internal low-code platforms.
  • Integrate AI APIs, including LLMs, vision models, and similar services, into client-facing tools, workflows, and pipelines.
  • Assist in implementing AI blueprints and concepts into working, production-ready systems.
  • Support the development, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing AI pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Help build custom GPTs, prompt workflows, data processing flows, and AI-powered internal tools.
  • Research, test, and benchmark new AI tools, frameworks, and services to improve solution quality.

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Contribute to observability and monitoring efforts, including error tracking, performance checks, gap analysis, and reliability reviews.
  • Set up data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to track results, surface insights, and support client decision-making.
  • Help configure cloud or on-prem environments for AI workloads.
  • Support documentation, versioning, handoff materials, and lifecycle hygiene for the tools and workflows you build.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize workflows to improve system consistency, uptime, and maintainability.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work with consultants and engineers to translate business goals into clear technical execution.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and results clearly in standups, written updates, and team discussions.
  • Provide complete, well-documented solutions that are ready for internal review or client handoff.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members to make AI solutions understandable and usable.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum workflows and use tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms to manage tasks and priorities.

What We Are Looking For

The AI engineering market is crowded, so technical ability alone will not set you apart. The strongest candidates combine solid technical fundamentals with curiosity, ownership, and strong communication skills.

We are looking for someone who is well-spoken, writes clearly, learns quickly, and can hold their own in a client conversation. You do not need to know everything already, but you should be eager to learn, comfortable experimenting with new tools, and able to explain your thinking clearly.

Required

  • Working knowledge of at least one low-code or automation platform such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or a similar tool.
  • Basic Python skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort explaining technical work to non-technical people.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a genuine desire to learn and collaborate.
  • Strong organizational habits and the ability to track multiple tasks.

Needed

  • Comfort integrating APIs and working with LLMs or other AI services.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of how production-level systems are built, maintained, monitored, and improved.
  • Ability to research, test, and compare new AI tools or frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks or tools such as LangChain, FastAPI, PyTorch, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with model deployment, MLOps concepts, or AI system lifecycle management.
  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Masters degree or graduate-level coursework in AI, ML, Data Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Trello, basic DevOps, QA processes, or UX principles.
  • Experience with dashboards, analytics tools, or data visualization.

Learning Outcomes

During this internship, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience building and shipping AI automations and integrations for real clients.
  • Learn how AI consulting strategy translates into working technical implementation.
  • Develop practical skills in API integration, data pipelines, observability, cloud basics, and low-code automation.
  • Build confidence presenting and explaining your work to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understand the end-to-end delivery of applied AI systems from concept to production.
  • Learn directly from senior engineers, Technical Leads, and PhD-level AI experts working on live client initiatives.

Mentorship & Support

Interns receive direct guidance from BRDGIT AI Engineers, Technical Leads, and PhD-level AI experts. You will have structured check-ins throughout the internship and a feedback session at the end. We take your growth seriously and want this internship to be a genuinely useful step in your career.
