Job description

We are looking for an Intern/Co-op for the Spring 2027 semester who can work full-time or part-time onsite, starting in January. As an IT Intern specializing in office and clerical support, you will be responsible for assisting the IT department with various administrative tasks. This position offers an opportunity to learn about IT operations and procedures while providing essential support to ensure the smooth functioning of office operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)


Administrative Support:

  • Assists in maintaining and organizing IT documentation, including manuals, procedures, and reports.
  • Handles data entry tasks, such as updating databases, spreadsheets, and inventory records.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.

Office Organization:

  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and equipment, and coordinates orders as needed.
  • Ensures that office spaces are organized and tidy, including filing paperwork and arranging materials.
  • Assists in scheduling meetings, appointments, and events for the IT department.

Technical Assistance:

  • Provides basic technical support to staff members, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Assists in setting up and confirming IT equipment, such as computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Collaborates with IT team members to address user inquiries and resolve technical problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assists in creating and updating procedural manuals, user guides, and other documentation.
  • Compiles and analyzes data for reports, and presentations as requested.
  • Documents IT processes and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency in operations.

Team Collaboration:

  • Works closely with IT team members to support departmental initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborates with other interns and colleagues to accomplish team goals and objectives.
  • Participates in meetings, training sessions, and other learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.


MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS:

  • Pursing a degree in Computer Science, Network Support, Software Development, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
