Job description

Forward-Deployed Full Stack Engineer

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Salary: High-equity compensation
Type: Full-time, on-site with frequent travel to customer sites

Looking for an early-career engineer who wants more ownership than a typical junior role?

I'm working with a fast-growing AI automation company that is helping bring world-class technology back to the factory floor. They build software that connects machines, ERPs, and people in real time, helping manufacturers replace manual processes with smarter, faster workflows.

The role:

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role where you'll be working directly with customers to understand their problems, build solutions, test them, and make sure they work properly in real production environments.

You'll be building full stack software, fixing technical problems, and creating reusable tools that can be used across future customer projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating with people, and being part of a close-knit, high-growth team.

What's in it for you?

  • High-equity compensation

  • Free housing when deployed

  • Gym, sauna, and cold plunge access

  • Personal trainer twice a week

  • Direct access to founders and leadership

  • Opportunity to join a small team early, with major growth planned

  • Real responsibility from day one

  • Chance to work on software that is actually used in the field

Requirements / experience:

  • 0-1+ years of experience, but strong college projects or internships will be considered

  • Proficient in Python, TypeScript, and React

  • Comfortable working with APIs, services, frontend, and data

  • Interest in full stack engineering, solutions engineering, consulting, or customer-facing technical work

  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with technical and non-technical people

  • Open to being on-site in Chattanooga and traveling to customer sites

  • Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, or observability experience is a plus
