We are interested in growing the next advisor on the Blair-Obermeier team. For qualified individuals, this internship will be a direct step toward a salaried role on our team, with a clear path toward long-term growth.

Quick Facts:

• This internship is unpaid.
• You must have a bachelor’s degree or be a graduating senior from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Must be able and willing to pass a background check & fingerprinting, as required by industry standards.
• This is an in-person internship at our Raleigh office; formal business attire is expected.
• If your school offers credit for your internship, please provide the applicable forms and submission instructions.
• Internships are 12 weeks (3 months) starting in February, May/June, August, and September.
• Hours are flexible part-time, typically Monday-Friday 10am to 2:30pm. The first 2 weeks will be a trial phase.
• We will cover the cost for any required fingerprinting.
• For qualified and interested candidates, we will cover the cost of approved licensing and exam fees (i.e. Insurance, SIE, Series 7, etc.)

This dynamic team is dedicated to helping individuals, businesses, and their employees achieve financial well-being through tailored strategies.

This is a fast-paced, high-growth oriented environment with opportunities for exposure in the areas of financial planning, client engagement, investment management, and the day-to-day demands of a high-performing advisory business. We're looking to grow our next generation of advisors with the Blair-Obermeier team, and this internship is where that growth begins — we're committed to developing the right person through hands-on learning, direct involvement in team workflows, and real, practical skills that translate straight into a career.

Purpose of the Internship:

This internship is ideal for someone willing to learn from the ground up, with a high interest in financial advising as a career and genuine enthusiasm for joining a fast-growing team. You'll work directly with Devon and Jason, gaining real exposure to wealth management, financial planning, and the day-to-day of the professional advisory practice. Throughout the internship, you'll be expected to bring professionalism, attention to detail, follow-through, and a strong, positive attitude while contributing to the Blair-Obermeier team.

We strongly encourage you to use downtime to study and work toward becoming a licensed financial professional. Becoming licensed will expand your responsibilities quickly, open the door to direct client and prospect engagement, and is the clearest path toward a long-term role on our team.

Who We're Looking For:

• Graduating seniors, or individuals with a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• High interest in financial advising as a career path and genuine enthusiasm for joining a fast-growing team
• Ready and willing to study for and obtain your license(s) during or shortly after the internship.
• Insurance and/or securities licensed is a plus (life, health, SIE, Series 7, 66, 63 & 65, etc.)
• Coachable, driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

Example of Intern Responsibilities:

• Supporting general team operations and administrative needs
• Collecting and organizing data for financial plans
• Assisting with equity research and summarizing findings
• Helping the team prepare for client meetings (materials, organization, checklists)
• Sit-in on client meetings
