Do you prefer to work with a professional company who makes customer service, both internal and external, one of its top priorities? Do you enjoy problem solving with no two days ever being the same? Do you prefer to surround yourself with an extremely knowledgeable team, one you can bounce ideas off of and count on for support when needed?
Solar PV electrical design, product and installation knowledge from 2018 and earlier is all key success factors for this role. We also have an opportunity for a Service Tech Apprentice if your solar knowledge doesn't take you back as far as 2018, this allows you to be paired with and mentored by an experienced technician.
WHAT THE ROLE DOES:
Our Service Department handles many different aspects of Commercial and Residential Solar PV related items. Our Service Technicians are based locally in the field and are responsible for; performance verifications, system inspections & repairs, installing monitoring equipment and car charging stations, assisting with system removal and reinstalls and warranty work. They would troubleshoot and problem-solve our own systems as well as those for 3rd party installers and report back their findings using Field Squared, our field service computer management software.
Driving is an essential function of this position,you must beauthorized to driveon our insurance policy which means a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (no DUI's in the past 3 years).

WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY THIS ROLE:
If you dislike troubleshooting and researching information on new topics, then we wouldn't be a good fit. If you prefer to work as a member of a larger field team and not on your own or with a helper, then please consider other options. Also, if you don't naturally display pride in your work and become frustrated easily when things don't go how you want them then that's A-OK, but please don't apply with us. Our customers and office support team love our Techs because of their patience, communication abilities and care they exhibit when working at a customer's home.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Experience installing residential solar PV systems prior to 2018, any commercial solar installation, OSHA- 10 certification and NEC knowledge is all preferred. You must have the ability to interpret electrical and field layout construction drawings as well as expert understanding of electrical wiring, sizing and bending conduit (1/2" to 1") and how to use multi meters and other testing equipment. Must also be able to navigate and enter data into our Field Squared app from the field via a laptop or cell phone.
THE DETAILS:
This is a full-time hourly position based in Chandler, AZ which services systems state wide with most of the work based in the Phoenix Valley. Overnight and out of town work may be required on occasion, with advanced notice. Hotels and per diem are then covered by the company.
Drug Tests (excluding THC), Background Checks,MVDreports and skill testing will be performed on all final candidates. Employment eligibility verified through E-Verify.
