Job description

General Practice Veterinarian

We're hiring a general practice veterinarian to join our large team at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, our full-service small animal practice with 24-hour emergency services. This is a great opportunity to collaborate in a hybrid GP-ER facility with a regular, daytime shift schedule and no on-call hours!

  • A team you can collaborate with: Nearly 20 DVMs on staff with a wealth of experience and our skilled support staff team boasts over 20+ LVTs. Our satellite, on-campus location offering specialty care for your referral cases at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care - providing access to specialists in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, and Theriogenology.
  • Excellent tools and equipment: Our facilities include in-house lab, blood machines, digital radiology, dental radiology, high definition CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and more.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent
  • Active veterinarian license or license-eligible to practice in the state of New York
  • Experienced in companion animal wellness and preventive care medicine
  • Internship training a plus, with skills in general surgery and/or general dentistry, but willing to take new graduates looking for a strong mentorship program
  • A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Passion for collaborating with other doctors, staff and leadership to improve patient outcomes to drive clinic success

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and relevant credentials with an annual base salary range of $130,000 - $190,000, with additional compensation components which may be included such as sign-on bonus and other pay incentives.
