Overview The Level 1 Project Manager is responsible for successful execution of small projects or assisting Level 2 or 3 Project Managers with larger or more complicated projects

Objective/Purpose Semper Tek, Inc's Project Manager - Level 1 Intern will support the Operations Team in delivering successful construction projects. This internship is designed to provide exposure to managing smaller, less complex scopes of work, while also assisting with day-to-day coordination on larger projects. Interns will gain experience with repeatable project tasks, project documentation, subcontractor coordination, and construction workflows, building a strong foundation in project management.

Roles/Responsibilities At New Project Contract Award Assist in gathering vendor compliance documentation such as Certificates of Insurance, Schedule of Values, W-9s, and E-Verify Support setup of project information in Procore, including contacts, drawings, and specifications Assist with drafting and organizing subcontract documentation Attend project kickoff meetings and support documentation of meeting minutes During Design Attend design review meetings and assist in documenting meeting minutes in Procore Support coordination of design updates with subcontractors Observe and assist in identifying potential impacts to cost and schedule based on design changes During Construction Assist with processing submittals and reviewing basic submissions for contract compliance Support development and maintenance of project schedules in coordination with the Operations Team Assist in generating and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) Observe and support documentation of differing site conditions and change events Assist in coordinating subcontractor pricing for change proposals Support preparation of weekly project reports and updates Assist with monthly job cost tracking and budget reviews Participate in weekly job meetings and coordination efforts Support review and processing of subcontractor invoices Assist in documenting completed work and supporting monthly payment applications Observe and support implementation of Quality Control and Safety Plans Participate in job site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality Assist in identifying issues and supporting development of solutions to maintain schedule and budget Skills Required Demonstrates proactive approaches to problem solving Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and detail oriented Ability to analyze and report data Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel Spreadsheet proficiency Skills Preferred (not required) Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or related field or equivalent work experience in Construction Operations Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, USACE QCM Minimum 1 year of related experience Experience with Construction Management Software such as Procore Mental Qualifications Able to learn new tasks Able to maintain focus Able to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision Able to communicate effectively, both orally and written Able to interact with a variety of individuals Able to understand, remember, and follow verbal and written instructions Able to perform in situations requiring speed, deadlines, or productivity quotas. Able to maintain regular attendance and be punctual Have strong reading comprehension Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned Physical Qualifications Able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc. Able to utilize construction personnel hoists Able to navigate work areas that are under construction Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, peripheral, depth perception, and focus Repeating motions that may include wrist, hands, and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls Operate machinery and/or power tools Operating motor vehicle or heavy equipment Communicate with others to exchange information Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for long periods of time Ability to climb, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Light to Medium work that includes moving objects between 20 - 50 pounds Travel is required within the United States; this role is both office and job site based.

Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours, but there are occasions when extended work hours are necessary. This includes weekend/night work when needed due to contract requirements, logistical reasons and/or project deadlines. Semper Tek, Inc.
