The Jordan School District, located in West Jordan, Utah, currently has 1 immediate full or part‑time opening for a bilingual school psychologist or bilingual school psychology intern. Spanish is preferred as reading, speaking, and writing in Spanish are needed for this position.

Our K‑12 district has more than 56,000 students and 68 schools. All of our elementary, middle, and high schools have full‑time school psychologist or school psychology intern allocations.

The service delivery model in our district is intervention‑based, with all K‑12 positions being funded by regular education. Responsibilities include assessment, individual and group counseling, consultation, and behavioral intervention. Jordan School District uses a combination RTI/Discrepancy model to determine eligibility of students with Specific Learning Disabilities. Pre‑doctoral and post‑doctoral supervision by licensed psychologists is available for those seeking licensure as a psychologist through the Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing. In addition, BCBA and Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) supervision is also available.

Our school district is in Salt Lake County and is located about 15 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, within minutes of some of the best ski resorts in the country.

Additional Salary Information

Additional Salary Information: A $3,000 signing bonus has been approved for the current opening for the 2026‑27 school year. This signing bonus is prorated based on the start date if it is after the school year has begun. School psychology interns receive full salary and are on a salary schedule for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and school psychologists or school psychology interns. The 2026‑27 salary schedule base salary is $78,300 for a Specialist Degree with no experience. There are 7 additional days above the contract paid on a time sheet basis above the 187‑day contract, for additional pay of $2,931 at this level. Salary is based on degree and all eligible, verifiable years of experience for school psychologists and school psychology interns. This also applies to those who have retired as school psychologists and want to return to work full or part‑time.

Qualifications

Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in school psychology and eligibility for Associate or Professional licensure as a school psychologist or school psychology intern by the Utah State Board of Education, or a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). School psychology intern candidates must hold an Associate Educators License issued by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) prior to starting work in the district. School psychology interns must be enrolled in a Master’s, Specialist, or doctoral degree graduate program in school psychology and authorized by their university to complete an internship.
