About the Role
CBS Sports is looking for several video editors to power the social presence of our CBS Sports College Football, CBS Sports College Basketball, NFLonCBS, and CBS Sports HQ accounts. You'll turn our programming into sharp, scroll-stopping social content. This is a 9-month contract position and is flexible on work location-we welcome remote, hybrid, and on-site candidates. This role requires availability to work nights and weekends, particularly during the football and basketball seasons, to deliver timely content around live games and programming
What You'll Do
Create vertical, captioned videos from CBS Sports programming focused on podcasts, FAST channel shows, CBS studio shows, and CBS Sports Network shows.
Collaborate with the social producer to craft videos from these shows for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Add creative elements and optimize clips for each platform-incorporating footage, photos, text, andgraphics.
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of experience in social/digital/video (strong internships will be considered)
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Premiere, with the ability to work across various forms of media
A strong eye for pacing, captioning, and formatting content for vertical, social-first platforms
Willingness to work prime time sports viewing hours, nights and weekends included
Ability to work under extremely fast turnaround times
Strong writing and grammar skills


Please submit a portfolio of your work with your application, showcasing vertical, social-first editing for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Include examples that demonstrate your captioning, pacing, and use of creative elements such as added footage, photos, text, and graphics. Sports content is a plus but not required. Let us know which sport(s) you're most proficient in.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $55,000 - 80,000. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
