Agronomy Sales Internship
Are you currently pursuing a degree in an Ag related field? Do you have a desire to learn just what it takes to work in Agronomy, interacting with customers and learning the science behind producing a great crop? Join our team TODAY!
AgState wants to help you further your education by walking side-by-side with you during your internship. We will help provide hands-on education letting you experience real world scenarios as you learn. We offer a 12-week paid internship to qualified and motivated individuals who will be responsible for learning our agronomy business and understanding management and operation viewpoints while working on special projects. You will find a team atmosphere committed to safety and excellent customer service with the opportunity to develop even more soft skills that will be beneficial in school and beyond!
You Will
  • Comply with all AgState safety policies by working in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct trials in the areas of agronomy, precision farming corn and soybeans.
  • Assist agronomy team in scouting fields and customer service calls.
  • Analyze insect crop protection methods, fertilizer applications, insect management, etc.
  • Learn retail agronomy business, management viewpoints, and attend sales meetings.
  • Assist coordination of seed plots for grower plot days.
  • Work with Agronomy Regional Business Leader on special projects.
  • Responsible for an overall assigned sales/research project in conjunction with all corporate research initiatives including but not limited to taking pictures, sampling, and gathering data.
  • Present findings to AgState agronomy sales group at completion of project.
  • Attend meetings (sales meetings, training events, marketing meetings, and leadership meetings)
  • Assigned an agronomy project and present results at the end of your internship.
  • Other duties as assigned.
You Must
  • You must be pursuing an associate degree or bachelor's degree in an Ag related field with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above.
  • Have a passion for agriculture!
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to minimum height of 36".
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
