Title/Role: Jr. Project Engineer
Division: Engineering
Location: Wallingford, CT
Reporting to: Sr. Project Engineer

Position Summary:
Join E-J's growing Engineering team and build a career with one of the nation’s fastest growing contractors. E-J is seeking an individual with a degree in Electrical Engineering or experience in Electrical Construction. You will be responsible for using Autodesk Revit to design and model Electrical equipment, conduits, and support systems for Prefabrication and Installation. You will review schematics, plans, and models for Electric Code compliance. You will be trained on best practices in the Electrical Industry and advocate for E-J in meetings with Clients, Architects and Engineers, and other Trades.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn and retain the basics of the National Electric Code, local building codes, and best practices
  • Train in AutoDesk Revit to a high level of proficiency, and learn other software
  • Assist senior Engineers with Contract review, 3D modeling, and production of Prefab/Install drawings
  • Attend meetings and advocate for the best electrical practices and designs
  • Participate in reporting, accountability, and documentation practices to improve Engineering performance and maximize project profitability

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Highly motivated team player
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience or internship in a related field or industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic Electrical and Construction knowledge and eagerness to learn more
