Job Summary:
LufCo is seeking a driven Software Engineer to join their defense integration team. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining robust service solutions to support critical DoD operations, with an emphasis on back-end systems and API development.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and develop scalable and secure service-oriented software applications from end-to-end, focusing exclusively on core logic and back-end performance.
โ€ข Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Go , implementing robust APIs , complex business logic, and efficient database interactions.
โ€ข Integrate software systems with defense-specific hardware and protocols, ensuring seamless, low-latency data flow and secure communication within distributed environments.
โ€ข Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, product managers, and other developers, to rigorously define requirements and deliver high-quality products.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the entire service stack and integrated systems, providing timely and effective resolutions.
โ€ข Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in distributed systems and Go development, continuously improving our core service architecture and development processes.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Ability to obtain and hold a Security Clearance is necessary for this role.
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

โ€ข Solid experience with Docker and containerization technologies for deploying and scaling distributed services.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of database systems (relational and/or NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
โ€ข Proven ability in RESTful API design and implementation for secure, high-throughput service communication.
โ€ข Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, in a collaborative team environment.
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to autonomously tackle complex challenges in distributed environments.
