What You'll Do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer I to join our Business Owner Solutions IT team. You'll be a part of a new and growing team helping to support capabilities for the Individual Disability product. If you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with team members, and delivering quality solutions to customers, then this is the role for you! In this role, you will help lead and complete business priorities focusing on integrations with the EIS platform (a SaaS platform). You will have the opportunity to improve your skills in AWS and Java while crafting the future of the EIS application.

You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Lead the development and implementation of complex software solutions, effectively using source control, development environments, build systems, and advanced tooling.
  • Owns design and solution architecture for team’s work.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, promoting the effective use of existing tools, frameworks, and organizational processes while driving continuous improvement.
  • Consult with business partners on future technical trends/directions to meet business strategy initiatives.
  • Champion secure software development by applying and carrying out security policies, standards, and guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.

Who You Are
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in computer science, technology, engineering, or math-related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience, with increasing scope and technical influence
  • Proficiency with database applications, distributed and/or web programming languages.
  • Excel at connecting technology and business professionals, applying your interpersonal abilities to promote clear communication and ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Mentor who enjoys developing others as well as continuing to learn and build your own skills.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$116000 - $136000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
