We are looking for an individual who is experienced, licensed, and passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of older adults.

About the Organization

At Healing Arts Social Work Services, we are committed to delivering high-quality social work services that cater to the geriatric population. We recognize the complexities of aging, including emotional, psychological, and social challenges that seniors often face. Our mission is to empower seniors and foster meaningful connections with their families and communities, ensuring that they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work environment, where the Social Worker will engage with clients primarily through virtual counseling and support sessions. Our team utilizes modern technology to maintain effective communication, allowing for flexibility in service delivery while still providing a personal touch to client interactions. The position may require some occasional visits to schools or community locations as dictated by client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of psychosocial needs for clients, considering their emotional, mental, and social factors.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, tailoring strategies to address specific goals.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support, assisting seniors and their families in navigating significant life transitions, such as health changes or caregiving challenges.
  • Advocate for client rights and independently assess their access to essential community resources and services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and volunteers, to enhance and streamline care delivered to clients.
  • Regularly monitor clients’ well-being through check-in sessions, assessing their living conditions, and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Facilitate constructive communication and mediate conflicts among family members involved in client care.
  • Educate clients and families about available community resources, support groups, and social engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain meticulous records, ensuring accurate documentation of client assessments, progress notes, and care strategies.
  • Stay current with social work practices and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be working with seniors and their families, addressing a diverse range of needs, from mental health support to guidance on navigating healthcare systems. As part of our commitment to fostering quality of life, you will engage with individuals dealing with various life challenges, empowering them to maintain dignity and connection in their later years.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of social work experience, ideally in a geriatric or community-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of social work principles, aging issues, and relevant community resources.
  • Exceptional skills in assessment, counseling, and case management are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize and establish rapport with seniors and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer software.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in remote social work practice or telehealth services.
  • Familiarity with community resources specifically geared toward geriatric care.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and family mediation.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a retirement savings plan with employer matching, generous paid time off (PTO), and holiday pay. Our Social Workers also receive professional liability insurance coverage and are encouraged to pursue continuing education opportunities, supported by our organization.
