Job Description Hiring Immediately. Position Overview: Allied Universal Technology Services is looking to hire Installation Technicians.

The Installation Technician will perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware. As an Installation Technician, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values. Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required Minimum 5+ years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry, including installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs, are required NICET certification is a plus Experience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, or any of the following is preferred: Lenel/S2, Software House, AMAG, Brivo, Open Options Avigilon, Genetec, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Axis, American Dynamics, and Eagle Eye DMP, Bosch, and Commend Edwards, Notifier, Firelite Must be able to travel and drive throughout Southern California and out of state, such as AZ, MN, UT, and CO, as needed Scope of Work: Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera) Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes Supervise Installation Technician I's on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager Drive to client sites with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements Run electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs. Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation. Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up Qualifications: Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis Must be detail-oriented and organized Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users Benefits if hired after a SkillBridge Internship: $25 - 45 / hourly Company Vehicle and Gas Card Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance Enrollment in our company's 401 (k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility requirements Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly
