This position is part of the DoD SkillBridge Program and is only open to active-duty service members. Civilian applicants are not eligible for SkillBridge opportunities. Non-military applicants will be declined immediately regardless of skill set.

About the Employer
We are a commercial/industrial HVAC service provider with deep legacy and technical capability. Through SkillBridge, we are offering transitioning service members hands-on experience in operations leadership, with a pathway toward full time employment.
With over five decades of knowledge and experience in the industry we are experts in HVAC installation, service, and maintenance for commercial/industrial facilities including, but not limited to, manufacturing, hospitality, clean room labs, office and retail. Specializing in design-build, design-assist, and partnered/financially driven design processes, they provide customers with high efficiency and best value facility mechanical and environmental systems such as precision manufacturing processes, environmental conditioning and geothermal heating/cooling.
Position Summary
As a SkillBridge participant, you will assist in managing and optimizing the daily operations of the HVAC service department-supporting dispatch, scheduling, technician coordination, customer communications, and operational efficiency. Under mentorship, you will gain exposure to leadership practices and operations strategy.
Learning & Mentorship Focus
  • Shadow and assist existing operations supervisors / managers
  • Learn performance tracking, KPIs, and tactical problem-solving
  • Participate in operational meetings and planning sessions
  • Engage in mentorship and feedback sessions for leadership growth

Key Training Areas
  • Support assignment and dispatching of service calls, ensuring efficient technician scheduling
  • Assist in managing technician performance and adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Provide technical support guidance to field technicians under supervision
  • Help prepare estimates, track job status, monitor costs, and maintain operational documentation
  • Assist in inventory management, vendor relations, and parts/tools procurement
  • Support the development of training programs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate customer service issues and help escalate complex concerns
  • Maintain compliance with local codes, industry regulations, and internal standards

The Ideal Candidate
  • Transitioning service member with 3-5 years of military leadership experience in logistics, maintenance, or operations support.
  • Exposure to technical or mechanical systems (HVAC, facilities, utilities, or engineering support a plus, but not required).Exposure to technical or mechanical systems (HVAC, facilities, utilities, or engineering support roles in the military).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills - able to coordinate schedules, people, and resources.

  • Leadership potential - has supervised small teams or managed projects in the military.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to dynamic environments.
  • Professional in client and team interactions.
  • Interested in building a long-term civilian career in operations management or HVAC leadership.

Post SkillBridge Compensation and Benefits
Upon successful completion, candidates may be offered full-tie roles with:
  • Pay range of $40.00 - $48.00/hr (based on performance and experience)
