Overview
The Florida Everblades, a premier ECHL hockey team, and Hertz Arena, a multi-purpose entertainment venue in Estero, Florida, are seeking a creative and motivated Graphics Design Intern to join our Marketing and Creative Services team. This internship offers hands-on experience in designing promotional materials for a professional sports team and a dynamic entertainment venue. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about graphic design, sports, and entertainment, with the flexibility to work in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create visually compelling graphics for digital and print platforms, including social media posts, website assets, email campaigns, posters, flyers, and in-arena signage.
  • Assist in developing branded content to promote Florida Everblades games, Hertz Arena events, concerts, and special promotions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure designs align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Design game-day materials, such as programs, tickets, and promotional giveaways.
  • Support the creation of motion graphics or video assets for in-arena video boards and social media (if applicable).
  • Edit and retouch images for use in marketing collateral and media kits.
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for upcoming events and campaigns.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing digital asset libraries.

Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere Pro or After Effects a plus).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, or event marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and designing for digital channels.
  • Access to a reliable computer and internet connection for remote work (if applicable).
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant design work (required).

Requirements:
  • Availability to work 15-20 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends for game days or events (flexible for remote work).
  • For in-person work, the ability to commute to Hertz Arena in Estero, FL.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt designs based on feedback from supervisors and stakeholders.
