What you'll get to do
  • Make swatches, and apply them to cut tickets for contractors to follow 
  • Prepare samples for upcoming fittings (steaming, measuring as needed)  
  • Shadow Production Department with all department related activities specifically focusing on creating trim packages (including counting buttons, folding sticker piles, rolling content label ribbon), preparing shipments, and factory communications regarding duplicates. 
  • Participate in Production fittings.  
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of patternmaker style sheets.  
  • Research and source materials, trims, fabric, etc based on the seasonal collection needs. 
  • Support with factory pick-up and drop offs around the garment district.  
  • Support atelier with transferring samples to/from PR.  
  • Prepare swatches and BOM updates for atelier patternmakers  
  • Assist Managers in maintaining an organized and clutter free studio. 

A reasonable estimate of the current hourly rate is $17.00/hour USD.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PLM database a plus 
  • Knowledge of fabric and fabric types  
  • Knowledge of the garment district
