Job description

Summary
We are representing a well-established engineering firm seeking a Site / Civil Engineer to support land development and site design projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and public-sector work. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to build a strong technical foundation while working closely with senior engineers and project managers through all phases of design and permitting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with site and civil design for land development projects

  • Support site grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for site drainage and stormwater systems

  • Prepare construction drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Research and apply local and state code requirements to project designs

  • Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies

  • Develop preliminary cost estimates and quantities

  • Participate in construction observation and site visits as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program

  • 0–3 years of experience in site or civil engineering (internship experience counts)

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working independently and within a team environment

Preferred

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain

  • Exposure to land development, municipal, or site permitting projects
