Attorney — Collections Litigation and Corporate Legal Support

Katy, Texas | Full-time and or part-time

About Us

Inspire Value is a corporate finance advisory firm serving a portfolio of client companies across oil and gas, small-cap capital markets, and hospitality. Our work includes private placements, OTCQB uplistings, pre-audit and fractional CFO engagements, and periodic reporting for public companies. We also house an in-house litigation AI company, which means the attorney in this role has direct access to technology most firms are still evaluating from the outside.

The Role

We are hiring an attorney to take direct ownership of our collection actions and to grow into securities and corporate finance work alongside senior leadership. The collections docket is yours from day one. The corporate side is where you build over the next two years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end litigation for corporate collection actions, including drafting pleadings, motions, and court filings
  • Represent the company and client entities in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Handle post-judgment enforcement including abstracts of judgment, garnishment, and turnover proceedings
  • Support SEC registration and reporting work, including Reg D offerings, registration statements, and transfer agent and FINRA correspondence
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and financing agreements
  • Conduct legal research on collections practice, securities compliance, and corporate regulation
  • Work directly with our in-house litigation AI platform on case workflow, document review, and matter management
  • Maintain case logs and report status to firm leadership

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active admission and good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • Completed litigation internship, clerkship, or equivalent courtroom exposure
  • Interest in expanding into securities compliance and transactional finance
  • Comfort managing a docket and appearing independently
  • Clear, plain-English drafting and strong research skills

Structure

  • On-staff employment or a contract or of counsel arrangement, depending on your experience and what you are looking for
  • Tell us which you prefer in your cover note
