Job description

About NovaVision

NovaVision is a specialty label and brand protection company serving customers who can't afford to get labeling, security, or authentication wrong. From security labels and holograms to decals, packaging, and brand protection solutions, we help customers protect their products, their brands, and their customers. Backed by Incline Equity Partners and operating from facilities in Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, NovaVision is growing โ€” and we're building the team to grow with us.

The Opportunity

This Estimator turns customer opportunities into profitable, well-executed work. In our highly custom printing environment, you'll prepare accurate job cost estimates and quotes for labels, decals, signage, and other specialized parts produced with digital and screen print technologies.

You'll partner daily with teammates across functions to understand customer requirements, evaluate production fit, capture the full cost of delivery, and respond quickly with clear, competitive pricing. The best person for this role combines estimating discipline, commercial judgment, and calm responsiveness under deadline pressure โ€” protecting NovaVision's profitability while earning customer confidence.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys the precision of estimating, the fast pace of customer-centric work, and the satisfaction of winning the right projects at the right price. As you learn NovaVision's systems, materials, and production capabilities, you'll become the go-to resource for quote strategy, production fit, cost accuracy, and customer education.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare timely, accurate estimates for new and repeat opportunities from customers, sales, brokers, and customer service โ€” turning around most quotes within 24 hours when specifications are complete.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, artwork, samples, material requirements, run quantities, finishing requirements, outside vendor costs, and production constraints to build sound estimates.
  • Partner with Plant Management, Technical Sales, Quality Assurance, and Graphic Arts to clarify specifications, evaluate production fit, and identify the most cost-effective approach.
  • Document assumptions clearly, confirm missing information before quoting, and update estimates as specifications, material costs, supplier pricing, or production requirements change.
  • Use estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office to build, document, and communicate estimates, keeping pricing and cost data current in the system.
  • Coordinate workflow to meet customer deadlines and ensure a smooth handoff to the Customer Service team once an order is placed.
  • Build knowledge of best suppliers, materials, innovations, and competitive pricing, and stay current on product and pricing changes.
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities to management for the benefit of both customer and company.
  • Support the sales team through product knowledge, joint marketing calls where applicable, and clear, professional communication with customers by phone, email, and video.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience estimating or supporting highly specified, custom products in printing, labels, decals, signage, packaging, or a similarly complex manufacturing environment.
  • College degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Printing Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred โ€” equivalent estimating, pricing, purchasing, or custom manufacturing experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting, pricing, and estimating systems; experience with ERP/MIS platforms such as EPMS or Label Traxx is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the attention to detail needed to anticipate and prevent costly errors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills โ€” able to clarify specifications, document assumptions, and explain pricing logic to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into production processes, material requirements, and accurate cost assumptions.
  • A proactive, ownership mindset: sound judgment when juggling competing quote requests, incomplete specifications, and tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on your experience
  • Weekly direct-deposit payroll
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Health and dental coverage, with optional vision
  • Company-provided life insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with immediate vesting in the company match after eligibility requirements are met

Working Conditions

This role is based on-site at NovaVision's Atlanta manufacturing facility and combines office-based estimating work with regular time on the production floor.

  • Extended periods of computer-based work, balanced with regular movement through the facility to gather information, materials, and authorizations.
  • Exposure to a production environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Frequent collaboration with plant, sales, and customer-facing teams.
  • Occasional overtime as business needs require.

Why NovaVision

NovaVision is a hands-on, customer-focused manufacturing company where people collaborate across departments, solve problems constructively, and take pride in accurate, dependable work. We value responsiveness, integrity, continuous improvement, and practical teamwork โ€” and the Estimator role sits right at the center of that culture, helping NovaVision win the right work and deliver on its commitments.

Before You Apply

Employment is contingent on standard pre-employment requirements, including background screening, work authorization verification, required onboarding agreements, and drug and alcohol testing.

NovaVision is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
