$1,270 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

Job Summary:

The School of Science invites applications for various Part-Time Faculty positions for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Instructors are needed in the Summer of 2026 for Parasitology and an Introductory course (Methods) in Medical Laboratory Science. Both courses include a Lecture and Lab, and candidates may apply to teach either or both. Instructor for Immunhematology (Blood Banking) Lecture and lab needed at our Poughkeepsie Campus, and Lecture only at our Manhattan site, for Fall 2026 and beyond. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. The successful candidate will join a school characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include Certification in Medical Laboratory Science and strong bench experience in the Blood Bank lab, an M.A. or M.S. in a closely related field, strong interest in undergraduate education, a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching, and interest in working collaboratively with others. Those with a B.S. in Medical Lab Science will be considered for teaching the Laboratory only.  Daytime lectures and labs, with Parasitology lectures in the evening. For Summer courses, labs take place in our Poughkeepsie campus, while lectures can be remote, or take place in our Manhattan location.

Essential Functions:

Opportunities are available to teach in one or more areas across several disciplines over time. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate courses that may be available in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is desired.
