Responsibilities

Job Title: Software Developer Intern

Reports to: Product Development Leader

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

DeepHealth is seeking a Software Developer Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Seattle-area engineering team. This is a hands-on, in-person role focused on building and shipping production-grade systems in a fast-paced healthcare AI environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Interns will contribute directly to live product development in one of the following areas:

Agentic AI Engineering:

  • Build and deploy AI agents on real-world healthcare datasets
  • Develop orchestration logic and evaluation pipelines
  • Integrate LLM-powered workflows into production systems

Full Stack Engineering

  • Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
  • Build responsive front-end applications
  • Contribute to cloud-native architectures and CI/CD pipelines

Across both tracks, interns will:

  • Write clean, testable, production-quality code
  • Participate in design reviews and system architecture discussions
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
  • Deliver a high-impact project by the end of the internship

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in one or more of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++
  • Ability to work on-site in the Seattle/Bothell area for the full internship

Preferred: Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), modern web frameworks, or AI/ML frameworks.

Physical Demands

This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Working Environment

This is a 3 month assignment starting June of 2026 in our Seattle / Bothell, WA office.
