Build full stack systems to support management, quality, governance and dissemination of core data for companywide initiatives (50%): Design and deliver highly scalable multi-tiered distributed software applications; Build services and applications using code generation, Golang, Postgresql and gRPC frameworks; Apply UI/UX design principles to build Web User interface which supports the business to achieve desired functionality; Architecture and design to support new feature requests; Automate infrastructure and code deployment; Drive platform reliability, performance, scalability, and security through architectural reviews, code quality standards, and best engineering practices; Drive strategic technology decisions. Service/Interface analysis, data modeling, and KPI definition (20%): Work with product management and business to arrive at data model and service interface definition; Build service message canonical models; Build instrumentation to capture key metrics; Use fundamentals of computer science such as data structure and algorithms and knowledge of application, services. Automated Data Ingest, Code release deployments bug fixes and production support and user support (25%): Prepare automation scripts to unit test services and prepare deployment scripts to promote code into production environments; Prepare and execute automated data ingest tasks to reliably import data in bulk while maintaining data quality/integrity; Run production releases for the assigned project; Being on Call and debugging/solving issues in production; Meeting/interacting with project consumers to drive and assist with adoption of the project. Training/Mentoring engineers (5%): Training Engineers on Fanatics' technology stack and integration with Fanatics' core data; Mentor engineering interns from different teams during their internship. Up to 5% domestic travel may be required for meetings with stakeholders and team building. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 1440 Dutch Valley PI NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30324 when not telecommuting. Salary: $161,913 - $181,913 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation, job title, or position developing and maintaining full stack distributed systems.
Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience developing highly scalable, multi-tiered distributed applications, utilizing sound architecture to support new feature requests; 5 years of professional experience building and maintaining backend services and applications, utilizing code generation, Golang, Postgresql and gRPC frameworks; 5 years of professional experience developing service message canonical models and instrumentation, utilizing computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms to capture key metrics; 5 years of professional experience developing web user interfaces, applying UI/UX design principles to achieve required business functionality; 3 years of professional experience driving platform reliability, performance, scalability, and security through architectural reviews, code quality standards, and best engineering practices; 3 years of professional experience automating infrastructure and code deployments, maintaining reliable and repeatable release processes; 3 years of professional experience maintaining production systems, developing automation scripts for testing, executing automated data ingest tasks, and providing on-call production support and debugging; 2 years of professional experience partnering with stakeholders to plan and execute platform enhancements, migrations, and long-term technical roadmaps aligned with organizational goals; 2 years of professional experience collaborating with product management and business stakeholders, performing service/interface analysis, data modeling, and KPI definition; 2 years of professional experience mentoring and training engineers, collaborating across teams to support adoption of technology and integration with core data platforms.
