Daikin Applied is hiring a Talent Specialist II. This role supports both Performance Management and Early Career programs and processes, with a balanced focus on administration, reporting, systems testing, program coordination, and continuous improvement. Under general supervision, you will help execute and enhance DAA's performance management activities, tools and resources, while also supporting Early Career operations and key programs. This includes coordinating timelines, managing communications, supporting onboarding and offboarding activities, assisting with summer programming and events, and helping deliver a consistent, high-quality experience across both performance and early talent initiatives. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN
What you will do:
  • Support the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Talent Management programs, including performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, career development, and rotational development programs
  • Administer and test Talent-related Workday modules and provide accurate talent analytics, dashboards, and reporting to HR Business Partners and business leaders
  • Coordinate end-to-end Talent activities such as talent reviews, training sessions, promotion celebrations, development events, and other enterprise talent initiatives
  • Manage program timelines, logistics, documentation, and stakeholder communications across multiple Talent and Early Career initiatives
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, digitize, and enhance Talent processes to improve manager and employee experience
  • Support Early Career onboarding and offboarding for interns, co-ops, and apprentices, including systems access, payroll coordination, communications, event planning, equipment collection, and conversion activities
  • Coordinate Early Career and recruitment activities, including campus engagement, job fairs, orientation programming, summer events, and survey creation, distribution, and analysis
  • Provide reporting and analysis for Talent, Early Career, Military Veteran headcount, and hiring data to deliver insights and inform workforce decisions
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites and create Talent content such as job aids, guides, workbooks, presentations, and other program materials while providing general project management support

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of Performance Management experience - i.e. performance reviews, goal setting, succession planning, talent reviews, career development
  • 1+ years of experience with a major HRIS such as Workday, ADP, Taleo, or similar, with the ability to effectively test, troubleshoot, and/or build reports
  • 2-4 Years of experience with Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Early Career, HRBP, or similar
  • General coordination/project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication written and verbal

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $ 31.73 - $52.29 per hour in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual hourly pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
