Job description

Internship Summary

This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced streaming media environment and is ideal for undergraduate students or recent graduates looking to build practical skills in video production and digital content creation.

The Video Editor Intern will support the creation of short-form video content, sponsored media, social content, and YouTube assets for OTTera's global streaming and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about storytelling across social and streaming platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and deliver engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and other digital platforms
  • Edit sponsored videos, promotional assets, slates, and branded multimedia content with strong pacing, storytelling, and attention to detail
  • Set up, operate, and maintain video production equipment including cameras, lighting, microphones, tripods, and related production gear
  • Assist with in-house video shoots, including filming interviews, promotional content, and social media assets
  • Add music, dialogue, graphics, visual effects, and motion elements to enhance video content
  • Collaborate with creative, engineering, social, marketing, and design teams to brainstorm and execute video concepts
  • Participate in projects from concept development through post-production
  • Help produce and localize video content for global streaming channels while maintaining brand consistency
  • Stay current on social media trends, editing techniques, platform updates, and best practices
  • Problem-solve creatively when refining edits and visual storytelling
  • Contribute ideas while also being receptive to creative feedback and direction


Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder
  • Experience filming, editing, and producing content for social media and digital platforms
  • Knowledge of video production equipment setup and operation, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Basic understanding of video framing, lighting techniques, and audio capture
  • Strong storytelling instincts, creativity, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Understanding of post-production tools and plug-ins such as PluralEyes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to take direction while also contributing creative ideas


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Motion graphics and animation experience
  • Familiarity with 3D software such as Cinema 4D
  • Awareness of current editing trends, from TikTok-style content to cinematic editorial techniques
  • Understanding of OTT (Over-the-Top) and FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) platforms such as Samsung TV+, The Roku Channel, and Pluto TV
