Job description

Synergy Blasting, LLC is seeking a Construction Drill Operator for commercial mass rock excavation. If you are interested in becoming part of a commercial blasting crew, please apply.

Construction Drill Operator Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain construction drilling equipment.
  • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by Blasting Supervisor.
  • Inspect equipment (general condition of machine, hoses, fluid levels) and report maintenance issues.
  • Communicate with Blasting Supervisor regarding site conditions and drilling plan.
  • Check work area for any overhead electrical wires, underground utilities, etc...
  • Drill Blast holes to correct depth and pattern.
  • Complete required drill logs and reports for Blasting Supervisor.
  • Understands and follows company safety policies.
  • Work as part of a blasting and drilling crew.
  • Handle physically demanding construction duties.

Construction Drill Operator Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience operating hydraulic rock drills in construction drilling and blasting environment.
  • Proficient knowledge relative to construction equipment and operation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Georgia Commercial Driver's License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must submit and pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must pass e-verify.
  • Must pass a background check with no felony convictions.
  • Travel out of town/state.
