Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status.
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans targeted at achieving specific patient goals while fostering engagement and positive outcomes.
• Providing direct therapy interventions based on the physician’s plan of care, ensuring continuity and quality of care across the patient journey.
• Instructing patients, families, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises and the use of adaptive devices to promote independence beyond therapy sessions.
• Coordinating with physician and rehabilitation teams to ensure plans are executed effectively, adjusting treatment as necessary based on patient progress.
• Prioritizing caseloads and managing staffing needs, collaborating with colleagues to optimize patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, from pediatric to adult patients, facing various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Your interventions will support recovery from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions, ensuring that each patient receives tailored care that meets their specific needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Washington.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, which must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
• A passion for patient care, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience

While no previous experience is necessary, candidates who have experience in clinical settings, internships, or volunteer roles in physical therapy or related fields will be highly regarded. Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and techniques, as well as knowledge of patient care documentation systems, is beneficial.
