Job description

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide tax compliance services and work on ad-hoc projects for PDS Health and its affiliates. This involves preparing and reviewing partnership workpapers, allocations, and tax returns. You will identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities while working with cross-functional internal departments. You will also work with a team of staff to participate in their professional development.
This position requires in-office work 5 days a week in accordance with the current policy.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and/or review annual preparation of tax returns (operating partnerships, real estate partnerships, S-Corporations).
  • Research and memorandum/documentation writing skills are required.
  • Knowledge and experience with tax issues related to C-Corps, S-Corps and Partnerships.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax authority tax notices and audits.
  • Work with various departments, primarily legal, accounting and finance, to gather information necessary for tax return preparation.
  • Act as mentor, support, and assist in the development and training of staff.
  • Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain proficiency with respect to current tax laws and tax law changes including the ability to perform tax research.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field.
  • At least 3 or more years of experience of relevant tax work (partnerships and s corporations).
  • Experience training and mentoring staff and interns.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work overtime as needed to meet investor and governmental deadlines.

Preferred
  • CPA license
  • Master's degree
  • Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
  • Tax software experience - Thomas Reuters One Source Tax, AMP
  • Ability to work with and analyze large volumes of data, including experience with data analytic and RPA tools (Alteryx, UI Path, Power Pivot)
