Job description

Position Overview
International is transforming the future of commercial transportation through innovation in electrification, connectivity, autonomous technologies, and advanced vehicle engineering.
As an Entry Level Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the development and integration of vehicle systems by collaborating with engineering teams across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career engineer who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and working in a highly collaborative environment.
Success in this role requires more than strong technical fundamentals-you'll work closely with cross-functional partners, proactively gather information, coordinate engineering activities, and help ensure projects move forward efficiently. We're looking for someone who is curious, confident communicating with others, and eager to take initiative.
Responsibilities
  • Support engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, resolve issues, and coordinate engineering efforts.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and other business functions.
  • Assist with vehicle and system integration activities for new product development programs.
  • Track engineering deliverables, action items, and project milestones to help ensure programs remain on schedule.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
  • Help evaluate engineering designs to support cost, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Document engineering changes, communicate project status, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
  • Builds relationships easily and enjoys collaborating with others.
  • Is comfortable initiating conversations and working with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Takes ownership of finding answers rather than waiting for direction.
  • Demonstrates leadership, even without formal management experience.
  • Is curious, adaptable, and excited to learn in a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Thrives in a team setting while taking initiative to drive work forward.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills
  • Internship or co-op experience within International or the commercial automotive industry.
  • Experience working on cross-functional engineering projects.
  • Exposure to vehicle development, product design, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering project management or product development processes through coursework, internships, or co-op experiences.
  • Experience participating in engineering competitions, Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics, or similar hands-on engineering projects.
