Job description

Job Description:
Our client is scaling its use of Microsoft Copilot as part of a broader enterprise AI transformation initiative. We''re looking for a Senior AI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to embed directly with the client''s technical and business teams, own the end-to-end delivery of Copilot-powered solutions, and help shape the client''s wider AI roadmap. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who can move fluidly between writing code, designing architecture, and advising stakeholders.
What You''ll Do
  • Embed onsite with the client to scope, design, and deliver solutions built on Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related Microsoft AI/Power Platform tooling).
  • Build and deploy custom copilots, plugins, and agents that integrate with the client''s enterprise data, systems, and workflows.
  • Lead adoption and change management for Copilot rollout across business units — training, enablement, and driving measurable usage outcomes.
  • Partner with client stakeholders (IT, business unit leads, and executives) to identify high-value AI use cases beyond Copilot and translate them into technical roadmaps.
  • Act as the technical point of contact on the ground — troubleshoot issues in real time, iterate quickly based on user feedback, and adapt solutions to the client''s evolving needs.
  • Ensure solutions align with the client''s security, compliance, and data governance requirements (Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, data residency, etc.).
  • Document architecture, decisions, and playbooks so solutions are maintainable by the client''s internal team post-engagement.
What We''re Looking For
  • 5–8+ years in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a forward-deployed/customer-facing technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot and/or Copilot Studio) or comparable enterprise AI/LLM deployment experience, with strong ability to ramp quickly.
  • Practical experience building on the Microsoft ecosystem: Power Platform, Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Foundry, Graph API, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
  • Proven track record scoping and delivering technical projects directly with enterprise clients or internal business stakeholders — comfortable owning ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills; able to translate technical tradeoffs for non-technical executives and translate business goals into technical specs.
  • Experience with change management and driving adoption of new tools across a large user base.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data governance, security, and compliance considerations for AI deployments.
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Implementation Consultant at an enterprise software or AI company.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified).
  • Experience with broader enterprise AI/automation platforms beyond Microsoft (e.g., other LLM providers, RPA tools).
  • Background in management consulting or client-facing professional services.
