Job description

Registered Nurse – Perioperative

Schedule Shift: Day - 3x12, 7am-7pm

Assignment Details Guaranteed Hours: 36 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

  • Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (Required); Bachelors degree in nursing (Preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State, BLS, ACLS, & PALS Certification, TNCC (Required); CNOR, Peri-op 101, CRASE training (Preferred)
  • Experience: None (Required); Previous RN circulator experience, Peri-op 101 course, Scrub experience (Preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room.
  • Act as a patient advocate and supervise assigned personnel.
  • Communicate the patient's status to relevant parties throughout the continuum of care.
  • Administer medications safely and correctly, ensuring patient rights and dignity are maintained.
  • Document nursing care accurately and legibly.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and maintain required competencies.
