Job description

We are seeking a Risk & Safety Coordinator to join our team in Houston, TX. This role is a key member of the risk management operation, supporting all company locations and client sites. If you thrive in a dynamic environment where one day you’re conducting a safety assessment, the next analyzing claims trends, and then training teams on accident prevention, this opportunity is for you.


What You’ll Do

  • Promote a safety-first culture across operations
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate accidents and injuries; prepare reports for hearings and insurance reviews
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims from intake through resolution
  • Support insurance programs and maintain compliance with safety manuals
  • Lead the Safety Committee and deliver training programs tailored to client environments
  • Perform monthly claims analysis and distribute reports to leadership
  • Provide direct support to field offices and travel 25%+ for inspections and training


Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in safety management, risk management, or claims management (staffing, construction, manufacturing, or industrial preferred)
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, incident reporting, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Experience with workers’ compensation processes including classification coding and claims handling
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with focus on root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel 25%+ and conduct site inspections


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or related field
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification, CSP, ARM, or equivalent
  • Workers’ Compensation Adjuster’s License
  • Experience with return-to-work strategies
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Demonstrated training design and delivery experience
