Job description

As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that want to achieve maximum developer and player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and push projects across the finish line while making sure that our teams are sustainable and have a great collaborative environment.
As a Technical Producer II on the VALORANT AI team, you will drive the delivery of the systems, tools, and workflows that power the machine learning workflows. You will partner closely with engineers and cross-disciplinary collaborators to ensure the team delivers high-quality AI systems that meet the needs of players and developers. You will help the team operate effectively and sustainably, facilitating planning, prioritization, and execution across a wide range of AI initiatives, from bot behavior development to emerging ML-based features. You have a strong understanding of technical development workflows and a proactive mindset for identifying opportunities to improve team efficiency, clarity, and delivery. You will support the ongoing needs of a globally distributed development organization, helping ensure our AI systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with VALORANT's gameplay goals. You will report to the Senior Manager, Technical Production for the Cross VALORANT Experience Area.
Responsibilities:
  • Run day to day team production operations and development processes
  • Partner and collaborate with stakeholders across VALORANT to align on project goals and technical plans for your team to execute against and share completed work with stakeholders
  • Partner with Product and Engineering Leadership to manage the team's backlog, roadmap, and development processes, ensuring the scope of work is aligned with VALORANT Leadership's goals
  • Align commitments and deliveries across organizations to ensure that features are delivered on time and with appropriate levels of quality.
  • Collaborate across VALORANT and Riot stakeholders to ensure we're delivering AI in the best way possible
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • 4+ years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams
  • 4+ years of experience managing complicated project deliveries across multiple business unites
  • Experience managing and operating games in a live service environment, spanning multiple platforms, and publishing partners
  • Experience working in technical environments delivering features through ambiguous and iterative development
  • Hands-on experience applying Agile and Lean development processes such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar
  • Excellent team leadership skills and experience working with engineering leadership to institute best practices and principles that continue to mature a high functioning team
  • Experience driving stakeholder management, gathering and aligning on requirements across service development teams, and funneling work back to the team
  • Experience juggling multiple projects in-flight, understanding high level scope while navigating around constraints and appropriately prioritizing team's efforts
  • Understand operational and development challenges and conflict resolution techniques
  • Experience in working in an AI or other machine learning environment
