Position Overview:
As an RF Applications Engineer,you will play a pivotal role in interfacing with various internal teamsincluding product development, technology development, marketing, and productline managers. Externally, you will engage directly with our customers and theglobal field applications engineering (FAE) team. Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Doherty amplifiers using state-of-the-art GaN transistors.
  • Optimize existing designs to meet stringent customer performance targets.
  • Characterize power amplifiers for 5G applications using digital predistortion (DPD).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the latest communications standards as they relate to power amplifier measurements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal energy and drive to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to customers through technical reports, conference calls, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal intelligence in all project execution interactions with team members from multiple design centers and organizations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, tests, and procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide training on new technologies and methodologies.

Key Competencies & SkillsRequired:
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of GaN-on-SiC Power Amplifiers for 5G infrastructure applications.
  • Experience with AWR or ADS non-linear circuit simulators.
  • Experience with Doherty amplifier design.
  • Proven track record of innovation and problem-solving in RF engineering.
  • Proficiency with RF and microwave test equipment and strong knowledge of power amplifier design.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with technical customer communications.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in RF power amplifier design.
  • Expert on the design of high-power RF circuits for Power Amplifier applications.
  • Highly knowledgeable on the physics of device operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Have a proactive, implementation-focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
