North American Internship Program
The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers.
About This Role...
The Shipping & Receiving team is seeking a motivated student to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Summer Student will have the opportunity to expand their professional development, collaborate on a team, and work on a manufacturing floor. Main job duties involve picking customer orders to prepare them for packing, inventory reviews, putting stock away, and communicating any inventory discrepancies for resolution.
Key Projects and Tasks
  • Picking - Pick and prepare Flexco products accurately and efficiently to assist in fulfilling customer orders and shipping deadlines.
  • Inventory Review - Shadow and assist in routine inventory reviews and cycle counts to maintain exact stock levels.
  • Stocking - Put away incoming inventory in designated storage locations, following department standards.
  • Organization and Safety - Maintain an organized and clean work area and adhere to OSHA and company safety policies during all work activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Learn what it means to work on a cross-functional team to succeed in problem-solving! In Shipping, you will be working with various shop floor employees and Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer orders are correct and punctual.

  • Participate in 10-12 weeks of our immersive internship program,
  • Experience the Flow of Flexco - weekly meetings with various departments across the business to understand the importance of their role and function within the organization,
  • Join bi-weekly coffee chats with members of our Senior Leadership Team, hearing about their educational paths, career journeys, and gaining advice and wisdom,
  • And take part in monthly workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn networking, interview do's and don'ts, presentation skills, and Yellow Belt training.

Requirements
  1. 18 years or older due to OSHA standards
  2. Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
  3. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  4. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds frequently
  5. Fall 2026 registration confirmed for college/university

Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (forklift, shipping, cycle counting, inventory, RF Scanner)
  • Experience with picking and/or packing is a plus
  • Capable of following safety guidelines and regulations
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependability and follow-through on completion of tasks
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
