Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations using industry-standard diagnostic tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Continually monitor patient progress and adapt treatment strategies that support their mental health needs effectively.
• Document treatment records meticulously and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and departmental requirements.
• Collaborate closely with patients and their families to create a comprehensive treatment plan that aligns with their goals and values.
• Educate and empower patients about their mental health, while coordinating referral options and acting as a liaison with additional service providers.
• Mentor and guide interns and students in their learning, promoting a supportive learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele of Gateway Psychiatry includes individuals and families navigating the challenges of cancer diagnoses. As an LCSW, you will engage with patients facing significant emotional and psychological impacts related to their conditions. Your role is crucial in validating their experiences, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and fostering resilience in their journey.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience working with oncology patients or in a mental health setting related to chronic illness can enhance your application. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic practices will also be beneficial in addressing patient needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, reflective of your experience and expertise. In addition, we provide:
