Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patient status using appropriate tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to formulate individualized treatment plans that respect cultural diversity and specific patient needs.

  • Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and continuously assess treatment interventions, ensuring they align with desired patient outcomes and the overall mental health goals for your clients.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records, progress reports, and clinical information, adhering to regulatory standards and departmental protocols.

  • Collaborate closely with patients and their families to establish comprehensive treatment plans, negotiating treatment objectives based on patient needs and desired outcomes.

  • Coordinate referral opportunities and cultivate strong working relationships with other clinicians and treatment providers, serving as a key link between patients and necessary resources for their mental health journey.

  • Participate in mentoring and educational sessions for students, interns, and other team members, contributing to a culture of learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing support to patients facing the psychological and emotional difficulties associated with cancer diagnoses. This role requires an empathetic listener and skilled clinician capable of navigating the complexities of oncology-related mental health challenges.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a relevant clinical setting, specifically providing therapy to patients with chronic illnesses or mental health disorders.

  • Experience with evidence-based practices and tools relevant to outpatient therapy.
