Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience with SQL, front-end and back-end testing, the ability to create smoke tests, user acceptance tests, and structured QA documentation. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing our software applications, data processes, reports, and dashboards, including validating data accuracy, calculations, filters, business logic, and alignment between source data and final reporting outputs, while ensuring the quality of the software meets the high standards set by our company.

Your Impact:
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for our database and software applications.
  • Identify, document, track data and software defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, severity, screenshots, query outputs, or supporting evidence, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated tests using various testing tools and frameworks.
  • Create smoke tests and user acceptance tests to ensure that the data process or software meets the acceptance criteria and is ready for production release.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, customer support, and stakeholders to ensure that the software is of the highest quality.
  • Perform ad-hoc testing, regression testing, and performance testing as required.
  • Create well-organized, repeatable, and clearly documented QA processes, including testing checklists, validation steps, expected results, and test evidence.
  • Continuously improve the software quality process by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestMo or similar tools
  • Proficient Experience with CI/CD Pipelines

Preferred:
  • Experience with dbt
  • Experience testing data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, analytics models, dashboards, or reporting systems.
  • Cloud based development (Azure, AWS, etc....)
  • Experience with Snowflake database
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • AI tools for testing

Your Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
  • Experience creating and executing smoke tests and user acceptance tests.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly systematic and organized approach to testing, documentation, issue tracking, and follow-through.
  • Ability to create clear, complete, and reusable QA documentation.
  • Ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, edge cases, and data quality issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
