Cape Fox Mountain Point is seeking motivated, detail-oriented students to join us as an Industrial Construction Engineer & Accounting Intern for the summer of 2026 and into the 2026-2027 academic year. This internship provides direct support to our President managing our Construction and O&M contracts. You will gain hands-on experience in contract accounting, billing processes, and contract administration oversight within a federal government contracting environment.

The role is ideal for students pursuing careers in government contracting, project controls, cost accounting, contract management, or infrastructure operations. Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with a flexible schedule that accommodates your class schedule (15-25 hours per week during fall and spring semesters; increased hours possible during the summer) Travel: Limited travel to Savannah, GA-area O&M plant sites and Construction team offices during the summer (expenses fully covered) to meet the team and understand on-site operations.

Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of monthly invoices and billing documentation in accordance with USACE contract requirements. Support contract accounting tasks, including cost tracking, allocation, variance analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. Help manage contract administration activities such as tracking modifications, maintaining documentation, correspondence, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS)

Contribute to project controls deliverables, including reports, dashboards, and data analysis. Gather, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from project and field teams. Participate in internal reviews and audits of billing and contract records.

Attend team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional groups (accounting, operations, and project management). Travel to plant sites during the summer to build relationships and gain practical insight into Dissolved Oxygen Plant operations. The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $20.00 - 23.00 per hour for up to 25 hours per week
