Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to diagnose and evaluate their mental health status, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to create tailored treatment plans that reflect cultural diversity and the specific needs of the patient population.
• Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies and interventions to support optimal mental health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records, reports, and all clinical communications in alignment with regulatory standards and department protocols.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that prioritize the needs and goals of the individual, allowing for shared decision-making in care.
• Facilitate coordination of referrals and act as a liaison between patients and other treatment providers, ensuring effective communication and the establishment of supportive networks.
• Offer education, mentoring, and support to students, interns, residents, and volunteers, fostering a spirit of learning and development within the organization.
• Participate in peer reviews and clinical collaborations as directed by clinical supervisors, contributing to the ongoing professional growth of team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves individuals and families navigating the emotional challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. By employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, the LCSW will work towards enhancing resilience and improving coping mechanisms while delivering compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with oncology patients or those facing serious illness is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the hospice and palliative care settings greatly enhances the candidate's ability to meet our patient's unique needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, reflecting experience and expertise. In addition to competitive compensation, Red Oak Mental Healthcare offers a sign-on bonus.
